We recently started restoring a 1971 beetle.

Here you can see this beetle being stripped and is now ready for welding.

As you can see this beetle has had the following panels welded in. Two new floorpans. Two new heater channels sills, two extra bottom sills, one extra battery tray, two door pillars,,one front apron, one spare wheel well, one rear apron, two front wheel arch panels, two bottom rear quarter panels and metal work required around various parts. It will have a new bonnet and 4 new wings. The doors were rust free and all the main panels are now rust free. The underside is sealed and we are left with a good strong beetle which if minded will give someone many good years of service. Next you will see this beetle being prepared for paintwork. This car still has a long way to go but as you can see its coming together. As the bodywork is in progress we will think about what colour it will be.
